Country Star Dies At 59 Following Bout With Cancer

Country star Holly Dunn has died after fighting a battle with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. Dunn announced her diagnosis in August.

Holly leaned on her Christian faith during her illness. She realized that no matter which way her story went that God would be there for her.

“Being a Christian, I know that no matter how this chapter ends, I will be OK. Either upright walking on this earth or safe in my Savior’s arms.”

Dunn was a fixture on the country charts in the 1980s with songs like “Daddy’s Hands,” which you can see in the video below.

The 59 year old’s journey on this earth is now complete, but we all can learn from her faith in God during her last few weeks while she was suffering.
