Hurricane Matthew is promising to wreak havoc in areas of Florida. The storm already killed at least 65 people in Haiti and is gaining strength as it quickly approaches the Sunshine State.
Even an enhanced water vapor satellite image of Matthew as it hit Haiti looks sinister.
Florida Governor Rick Scott made it clear that everyone in the evacuation areas needs to get the hell out. At a Thursday morning press conference that is shown below, Scott said, “this storm will kill you.” He punctuated it by adding, “Evacuate. Evacuate, Evacuate.”
Florida Senator Marco Rubio also joined Governor Scott, asking people to take this storm seriously.
The storm is also expected to hit Georgia and South Carolina. After Governor Nikki Haley ordered an evacuation of the South Carolina Coastal Region, a quarter of a million people have gone further inland. Another 200,000 are expected to join them.
