As a parent, nothing is scarier than the thought of some dirtbag kidnapping your child. Unlike movies and television where kidnappings are for ransoms of some sort, the majority committed in reality are usually family members (a spouse running off with a child) or degenerates who do the unthinkable.
That’s why it is great at times to see such crimes prevented, rather than solved after the fact. In this instance, a man tries to take off with a 13 year old girl.
Thankfully, Mom’s protective instincts kicked in.

The best part is, off-duty Citrus County Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathan Behnen was arriving as the suspect was running away. Behnen used his car to block the suspect’s car and promptly took him into custody.
Thankfully it was a happy ending.
