An Indiana man got the shock of a lifetime when he went to the dentist to have four teeth removed and woke up without his clothes on.
Donny Grisgby’s wife was in the waiting room for 5 hours before she found out what was taking so long. When the dentist started the procedure, he found a massive infection in one tooth that he feared would spread.
So, the dentist pulled ALL of Grigsby’s teeth.
Amanda Grigsby went back to find her husband covered in blood and crying. They called an ambulance and while being taken to the hospital, he coded twice.
Donny now uses an oxygen tank because he has blood clots due to the procedure. He told WRTV News that he’s still in so much pain that he can’t work either. But, his big concern is that he is missing all of his teeth.
Grigsby also said he can’t chew and doesn’t want to smile. Donny said he remembered very little, but he’ll never forget when it all sunk in.
“I am so ashamed now,” Grigsby said. “I have no teeth. I woke up with no clothes on. I was scared.”
It’d be terrifying to wake up like that — with no teeth and no clothing. If he did have a life-threatening infection, why didn’t the dentist talk with his wife or get him to the hospital right away? The dentist may may have prevented a much worse situation — but Donny doesn’t see it that way and plans to file suit against Dr. Aaron Strickland and White River Dental .
