alligator, Florida, cattle,

Everything, supposedly, is bigger in Texas. But even the Lone Star State would struggle to find a bigger alligator than the one pictured above!

Lee Lightsey, owner of Outwest Farms in Okeechobee, and hunting guide Blake Godwin, discovered this incredible reptile while out searching. Lightsey had lost several of his cattle recently and believes that the alligator was the culprit.

Although Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission have yet to take an official measurement, they confirmed to the media that the alligator is real. The largest ever recorded in Florida was 14.2 feet long. Lightsey claims that the one currently hanging from his tractor is 15 feet, meaning that if he’s right, it’s the largest of its kind ever seen in the Sunshine State.
