She Was Attacked While Running, Then She Came Up With This Booby Trap

Jennifer Cutrona was attacked while training for a marathon. In order to move forward with her life, she needed to come up with a way to protect herself while running, so she created something that could help many women.

The Booby-Trap Bra can conceal a knife or pepper spray. It has a magnetized pocket which allows a knife to be concealed inside. And knowing that she is helping other women protect themselves from attackers is helping her put her attack behind her.

“A fire was lit under me,” Cutrona told Mic. “I wanted to respond to this in a big way. I didn’t want to just cripple in fear, or be bullied off my favorite spot. When I got home I realized that I had plenty of self defense items… they were just not on me, and had never been on me.”

Three months after she designed it, Booby Trap Bras hit the market. They sold out of their first two runs of the product. This shows that women want to be able to protect themselves and live empowered, rather than as easily targeted victims.

This bra takes support to a whole new level.
