Recently, a 16 year-old girl came home from a date with her boyfriend and posted a heartbreaking message on her Facebook wall. Moments later, she took her own life.
Just before she took her own life, Amber Cornwall posted on her wall, “If I die tonight, would anyone cry?” Unfortunately, she never got to see that the answer to that question was a resounding yes.
According to AWM, Amber’s parents and friends have since revealed that she was bullied relentlessly in school, and they have since used her death to raise awareness for teenage bullying and suicide.
“They were really mean, they’d say stuff to her face, behind her back. They’d message her on Facebook,” Amber’s close friend Stephanie Hernandez said.
“I don’t want another child to die because of name calling,” Amber’s mother added.
