When you go to Starbucks to get coffee, you aren’t expecting the barista to lift your credit card number and go on a shopping spree. But, that is exactly what happened to Juana Martinez on New Years Day.

The 25 year old mother of three returned to Starbucks after noticing unauthorized charges and was served by the same barista. Martinez, who is a military wife, confronted the teen who then confessed to committing credit card fraud. The teen insisted she is a good kid and asked Martinez not to press charges.

Martinez has worked in retail. She was suspicious when the barista took her card for a minute while she went to get receipt paper. She closely monitored her credit card charges that day and noticed an unauthorized transaction.

As you can see in this video, the barista really crumbled when confronted with her crime. Starbucks now claims she no longer works there. Hopefully, the confrontation scared her straight to the point where she won’t steal again.

She obviously thought she could get away with this but she thought wrong and now she has to face the consequences. Her face is all over the internet admitting to a theft, she lost her job and could face criminal charges. That’s a hefty price to pay at a young age. Somewhere along the line, she never learned not to steal.

How would you have reacted if this happened to you? Please share your thoughts.
