Madison Reed was only 13 years-old when Bradley McCollum, a friend of her father’s, came over to her house to hang out. McCollum often vacationed with the Reed family at a nearby beach house, and they thought he was one of the most trustworthy friends they had.

Unfortunately for them, however, they turned out to be very wrong.

One day, Madison’s father Clark Reed was in his now 17 year-old daughter’s room when he found a tiny camera hidden underneath a bunch of papers. According to American Overlook, more cameras popped up as he looked for them, and Clark quickly realized only one person outside of the family could have planted them: Bradley McCollum.

“I don’t like to think about it, but I think about it all the time,” Reed told Mail Online. “There’s no choice but to think about it.”

The Reed family was forced to face the disturbing truth that McCollum had been secretly spying on Madison for four years.

“We were looking for every excuse to think it was someone else, until we found proof,” Clark said. “Our world was turned upside down.”

McCollum has since been arrested and pleaded guilty to all charges. He is currently awaiting sentencing, and will likely spend two years in jail. Do you think he deserves a worse punishment? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
