When two kids went into an Alabama Taco Bell trying to sell homemade dessert, a soldier offered to buy them dinner. The moment was caught on camera by Jason Gibson, who shared it to Facebook on Tuesday night. Gibson thanked Army Lt. Col. Robert Risdon and wrote, “Our troops are always taking care of us,” adding, “I heard the little one say I want to be just like u when I grow up and saluted him.”

A high school football coach was eating at an Alabama Taco Bell this week when he noticed two kids and a soldier standing at the counter. What happened next had him pulling out his phone to capture the scene on camera.

I was in a taco bell tonight when two kids came in trying to sell home made desserts for money. I over heard a soldier ask the kids if they were hungry and told them to follow him to the counter, he would buy them dinner. I had to video it and share. Our troops are always taking care of us. Thank u LTC Robert Risdon please please share this….

The soldier can be heard encouraging the kids to eat as much as they want, telling one of them, “You get ten. Can you guys eat all that?”

He then adds to the smaller boy, “Hey, B.J., can you eat all those tacos? Can you and your brother eat ten tacos?”

Gibson concluded his post by saying,  “I heard the little one say I want to be just like u when I grow up and saluted him.”
